That header was Jimmy Millar style. Our other masters of the headed ball DJ and Hately would never have scored that - too tall. Millar could do the high jump stuff as well.

And he wasn't that tall was he? Must be one of the best headers of a ball per inch we've seen in the last 60 years.

Willy Nilly never kicked a ball for us and he was just as bad as all the other signings.

Might have been better signing Mr Nilly or even Useless Eustace for all the good some of his signings have been

5’6” but he looked taller than that, more 5’8” but you can’t argue with stats.

Could outleap McNeil no bother.

Spoke to McNeil about this and he said he had tremendous power in his jump and perfect timing another one he didn’t like playing against was Forrest .

Some sympathy for McNeil. He endures Jimmy Millar, lord of the leap, then along comes Jim Forrest, rocketing past him on the left, disappearing into the distance on the right. When Lawrence sacked Forrest he ruined Forrest’s career but he saved McNeil’s.

When Rangers got rid of Jim Forrest in they committed one of the worst blunders in the club's history. It might be over half a century ago but it was a disappointment I'll carry to the grave. He really was very special.

If the chairman had done his job the manager who’d won us plenty of trophies should have been moved on he was past his sell buy date in the upcoming tracksuit managers Stein , Turnball and more and the other lot wouldn’t have had the success they had
