Derby were going nowhere and down around the bottom half of the Championship until Davoes came along and brought them up straight away - probably a year too soon. But he had an average team and to stay up he needed backed by the board and a hole overhaul of the team which isnt possible. What do would the board rather want - a season in the Premier league to make money and gain experience or to still be in the Championship playing Hull and Blackpool? They could have this year to gain experience then come back stronger next year. Even Sir Awex and Wenger would do a good job to keep Derby up now so Ive no idea who will come in and attempt to save them.
