Souness Returning?

That's the truth of it. It's being put about by some that Souness will be directly involved in football decisions but as far as I can see this is pure speculation.

We're good at speculating and passing it off as fact.

Dunno why you keep writing this? It's not pure speculation, it's straight from Souness' mouth, the guy who was just involved in managerial interviews.

Dunno why you keep writing this? It is pure speculation to assume because Souness was involved in managerial interviews in the past that any future role must also be football related.

Maybe Souness can show some of our players how to tackle anyone in green and white.

On the knee and that might have been an effective challenge. Tapping someone on the shinguard is a waste of a card.

A better example might have been his "tackle" on McCluscky on his Rangers debut, or pointing down his shorts, then to the inhabitants of the jungle 🙂

For all his on-field aggression, he was a brilliant football player. Some may say that makes the perfect combination.

As for his new role with Rangers, I'll await official confirmation of role and responsibilities before getting my knickers in a twist.

About 4 m 20s into this video is the classic Souness. A tackle that was only marginally worse than his first yellow card (1m 10s) earlier in the same game. May 1987
