Frankie 8,552
Bain has admitted a clause exists but it's £3million and can't kick in until next summer. As much as I'm reasonably happy with his displays so far if we got £3million in the summer for a 31 year old I'd be pretty happy also...

Spot on. 2 million profit would be a good bit of business
Gribz 848
Have to say id take 3 million for him as strikers as easier to replace but i still wouldnt take 3 million for Hemdani. Does anyone think we will cash in on both them - given Smith 6 million to spread around the team? Personally I think the squad has enough depth at the moment and its experienced, quality and creative players we should only look to bring it.
Frankie 8,552
It may not be a case of giving Smith more money to spend but to balance the books after spending £12million in the summer...

craig 5,199
Sadly I am inclined to agree with Frankie - I see SDM using it to balance the books rather than re-investing it.

Won't the CL run pay for near enough all of that?
craig 5,199
Won't the CL run pay for near enough all of that? It probably will be used to clear down some of the debt.
Frankie 8,552
Celtic only made £12million from the CL last season because they were the sole Scottish qualifiers. This season both of us made it so the pot will be halved. Any CL profits plus any sales in January may not be necessarily ploughed back into the team.
Gribz 848
After the group stages we'll be the only scottish team in the competition so all the pot from the knocl outs will be ours
