[FT] St Johnstone 0 - 2 Rangers (Danilo 16; Matondo 79)

We are still pish to watch, lobbing the ball over our own midfield for most of the game. A win yes, but turgid. Picking a man of the match will be tough. Offside is offside, and their penalty claim was far from a stretch. I think Davies only had both arms around him.

Going by the cut of the grass he looks half a yard offside from that photo.

going by my MSPaint i think he is off but then there is this stupid thing where VAR sees a different image from the TV audience so we don't see what they see.

Note where the linesman is standing

I'll give the manager a bit of credit today.

We won 2-0. Clean sheet and couple of good goals. Substitution killed the game. Didn't play great or create a load of chances, but out of the few chances we created they were good and we finished them well. Danilo managed to escape 4 defenders who were all marking space. As soon as Matondo seen that through ball he knew he was scoring and that was missing from his game last season.

I've been looking for two things from today, 3 points and signs of life. The 3 points are in the bag and there were some very faint signs of life about this team. Long way to go but we have a good run of games on the cards, hopefully he can turn things around.

I believe the VAR lines are taken from the byeline and then "pulled" to the incident.

As you say, the linesman was ahead of play, so from his angle, Sima would have looked onside, so why did he stick his flag up (only to put it down)?

Yeah, there were more positives than negatives today.
