I watched about twenty minutes of England under the new manager it was hard to tell because the opposition wasn’t very good but from what I witnessed there isn’t much change from Southgate but that’s only his first game so he’s made a winning start and that’s good .

Did you notice Bajrami? He got subbed but I didn't see him get the ball once.

The first half, there, looked like nothing so much as a continuation of the second half in Piraeus, with the difference being the clinical efficiency of the Greeks.

Of course, an arthritic 50 year old in goal can only help the opposition.

Forgot it was on. Saw the last eight minutes plus added. Dreadful. Players didn’t look bothered. Maybe they prefer not to be selected for future games.

If I had remembered, I suppose I would have watched the first ten and then switched off.

To stir up controversy, here’s a best Scotland XI since resumption at the end of hostilities:

Goram,

McGrain, Caldow,

McKay, McKinnon, Baxter,

Smith, White, Reilly, Law, Liddell.

Really hard to argue with that. I'd have Dalglish on the sub bench though.
