While it was good to see Barron get recognition with a call up Im glad he didnt play as we need him fit. 

 

When everyone is fit the current midfield is as strong as its been for at least a decade but every other area is the weakest I can remember. The keepers, centre halves and strikers that can be listed from mid to late 80s until mid 2000s is just a different level.

It looks like he will have to navigate through a tough World Cup qualification group. The recent poor run means Scotland will likely be third seeds. Only a win in Poland with Portugal winning in Croatia and a 3 goal swing would make a jump to Top / Second seed.
