pete 2,499
Quit PSV tonight to join Valencia. Jan Wouters takes over as caretaker manager. Two top Dutch clubs (Ajax,PSV)without first choice managers, that must be a first. Surely Jol will fit in somewhere.
eightball 0
Jol is a good manager, I'd think that he would get the nod at either club.
pete 2,499
I wonder if Jan Wouters would try to make a step up again?
Jon 0
Will Jol not get the Ajax job? Cant remember if he played there or had connections or not
Gribz 829
Whoever the caretaker is at Ajax, he has been told he is caretaker until the end of the season so I suspect they have someone lined up for next season. I hope so, coz its about time Ajax got back on the european stage as on eof the big boys. Jol certainly could be a contender for PSV.
Gazza_8 233
Maybe Ajax have lined up PLG!?!?!?!?!

It's not very professional, if you were a PSV supporter then you'd be raging!
pete 2,499
Will Jol not get the Ajax job? Cant remember if he played there or had connections or not No He played for Den Haag(The Hague), Bayern Mun,Twente,West Brom,Coventry and finished at Den Haag. Ajax don't have anyone lined up they just don't want to rush into a move they will later regret. I think PSV would be a better move for Jol as Ajax is full of whisperers and back-stabbers. There are too many cooks who think they know better. Johan Cruyff still has a lot to say on what goes on there. As for the famous Ajax youth academy, that is also a bit of a myth as their academy was well down the list of football academy's in Holland. Their U19 team are not doing very good although they seem to have some good players in the u17 and u15 teams who are both top of their leagues. It was in fact their scouting system that left the other teams standing in the 70's and 80's. Where Ajax had Scouts over the whole of Holland other teams stuck to regional Scouting and that gave Ajax the pick of the crop. Now other teams have woken up to that Ajax are not bringing as many players through the system as they are given credit for.
