I was thinking of Matondo, but then again, Yilmaz was the same price (albeit with add-ons).

Just for reference/reassurance on who's making the signings, this is Beale's insight to a signing for QPR who would've probably been in the same youth set ups as Lammers.

 

Came up on my feed so I haven't dug this out but it's a good find.

 

It wasnt bs when Beale said you could trace the players, it's almost like he knows what he's doing!

Much more than I’m comfortable with tbh, though I know that’s the way the market is. I’d have preferred to spend 6-7 on one striker than get two in the 3-4 range. Concern is you are in Matondo range which is so hard to get right, and you’d potentially get better value spending more. Celtic had to do this with a few of their successful signings like CCV and Jota. 
 

Of course, very hard to judge early in the window when you are seeing only the first few pieces of the jigsaw.

His recent nomadic career coupled with low numbers are a wee bit worrying but I have faith in Beale. I just hope we can be the club to get the best out of him?

Just a lack of goals over past 2 or 3 seasons worries me. Can only presume we’re after another striker to play thro the middle & Lammers plays in a wide or deeper role

Low numbers doesn't mean much in itself. We need to look deeper, at his xG.

 

If he's scoring 2 from an xG of 1, then he's going well. If he's scoring 2 from and xG of 15, he's awful. 

 

In truth, he has slightly underperformed. He has scored 2 from an xG of 4 last season. Previous seasons has him pretty much hitting his xG.

 

It'll be interesting to see how that translates to us, as he will get more chances.

 

I would suggest he's not going to be a goalscorer, though. He looks more of a pressing forward and link-up player, who can hopefully contribute 10-15 goals.
