[FT] Rangers 0 - 1 Celtic

Recommended Posts

Main takeaways are that Goldson, Kent and Wright have all trained so should be available. Manager has also denied where interested in Chris Willock but that he is further forward with other targets.

Personally, I'm really hoping Connor Goldson and Ryan Kent are fully fit for Sunday. Yes, they've had their low points as Rangers players but I'd like to see them involved this weekend. Rest of the side is debatable but I can't see anything other than this. Can/should Tillman play as main striker?

Top article Frankie. I cannot honestly say that I want MB to remain our manager, because I simply do not believe in the man. Going by his demeanour in the press conference, imo neither does he. I hope I'm proven wrong, after all if I'm not, septic are onto a run of easy trophies.

It goes without saying but we’ll know for sure about Beale a year from now. For my taste, he talks far too much but there have been many good managers over the years who liked the sound of their own voice … Brian Clough?

Clough was quite entertaining though, either through sheer meanness or by being a bit philosophical (albeit not exactly Aristotle)  Beale just blethers.

Ultimately, it's all about what happens on the pitch.

Even so, the remaining games this season will prove important. After all, another loss on Sunday would result in yet another treble for Celtic and, if we can't also beat them at Ibrox next month, that would mean five Old Firm games without a win under Beale's tenure. Such poor performance cannot be ignored and would put him under immense pressure from many fans and with recent boardroom changes brought abut by fairly mild protests, Beale would be in a difficult position.

This is the important point for me.

We've had three matches where Celtic were there to be beaten and each one has been conceded.

Two more chances are ahead of us this season.  Winning both, and this one in particular, will keep many critics quiet over the summer.  Beale would benefit from that.
