Juan Alegria gone

Recommended Posts

Saw his debut for the B Team and he looked decent but no better than the likes of Tony Weston.

A few Falkirk fans I know said he started looking good for them when he was in loan then Rangers recalled him.

Mental to think there was a clamour for him to replace Alfie when he scored a few goals for the B Team.

Wish him all the best in the future.

With quite a few of these talents you do wonder what had become of them had they been given the chance in the first team. Might well have been that they failed and disappeared through the backdoor (which is what most of them do anyway). If they can't "shine" or "kick on" at the likes of Partick Thistle and / or Falkirk, they aren't going to be the next "Patterson".

Weston looked a more promising prospect in my humble opinion but never looked likely to remove the likes of Alfie, Roofe, Colak et Al from the 1st team squad.

If young Lovelace has the right attitude and application he *may* make the breakthrough.

Would have to check where Patterson did shine before making such a promising run in the first team. IMHO, every now and then you have to give these youngsters the opportunity to show their skills alongside quality players and it might kick on from there. I would say that Lowry certainly looked a very good prospect, one just hopes his injury hasn't put him back that much. Wouldn't mind seeing him alongside Tillman, Raskin, Cantwell and Co.. Some (make that: a lot of) fresh spark is needed in the here and now.

Young Lowry has had a tough time recently with his injury then losing his mother, he is back training so hopefully he gets some match time before the end of the season.
