The financial disparity in Europe was evident yesterday.

Roma's Nicolo Zaniolo, one of the most promising young talents in world football, is being fought over by Milan and Bournemouth.

Milan are struggling to compete.

Scudetto winner and European great vs relegation candidate.

Mental.

And this is why we need a new league, call it Atlantic, Super league 2 whatever, but we need to get out of parochial Scotland.

Agree with that but who the hell is going to sell us their first team keeper.

You just give them this stuff called money. :D

I don't know who, but I'm sure we've got a few targets on a watchlist.

I've been saying that for years.

I seem to be in the minority.

Off topic, but there was a hypothetical Austro-Balkan league conceived by someone on Reddit. I can't find it now. Purely hypothetical, but it looked a competitive, exciting prospect.

Similarly, an Atlantic league composed of Anderlecht, Club Brugge KV, KAA Gent, Standard Liège, Brøndby IF, FC Copenhagen, HJK Helsinki, AFC Ajax, AZ Alkmaar, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven, Rosenborg BK, AIK Fotboll, Malmö FF and our two sounds exciting. It would certainly provide more money than we currently receive.

That would be fantastic.

Never would happen, but man, a proper league to play in.

I think it’s probably inevitable.

I can only pray.

Even if Rangers struggle or are not contenders in a new league for a bit.

Of course that would drive many spoiled Rangers supporters nuts but...

Just to watch a proper, competitive league football match would be great.

The SPL deserve the fate of the Welsh...banished to  the terminally forgotten.
