Wait, he's a Bosman in the summer ?  Snap him up.  Relatively low risk and when at a very poor Norwich in the EPL he was their only real bright spark.

Yip - free to sign for us now on a free in the summer. Beale wants him in this window so believe we trying to put a package together.

Personally would wait as I think the league race is done.  But I also see a lot of value in getting someone in now, used to the league for a few months before then hitting the ground running fully next season.  So long as it isnt too expensive !

This shows a lack of understanding on how things work.  There is very good reason that South Americans often end up in countries like Portugal and Spain, rather than the UK.  Far easier for them to get work permits in those countries than in the UK.

Have we had issues with work visas for other Latin American players?

I remember we had quite a few latin players during Caixena's tenure.

Heard rumours of Lowry going out on loan to Ross County. He'll have to do well there. If he cant get in the team its going to be hard to recover from that.

Good opportunity if true.

A bit strange tho given we've recalled a few players back from loans recently. Unless MB and his team think they're at the "wrong" clubs.

All UK clubs generally will have greater issues with Latin American players who are based in South America mate.  Has always been thus.

The players we had under Caixena were already established international players - the UK work permit rules for non-EU (as it was at the time) players required the players to have played so many of a country's international games in the previous two years.  And chances are if we WERE looking at the South American market they wouldnt be established internationals, otherwise other clubs in England and/or Europe would likely be trying to get them.

The South American players we had under Pedro were either not good enough or had issues such as an enjoyment of Columbian marching powder.....

I think Mackay would be a good choice of manager for Lowry if a loan is being planned.

edit - and it's a grass pitch in Dingwall.
