Gonzo79 15,299
My first trip to Hampden, Cooper scored that free kick and Durrant scored the winning penalty...

Scott7 6,372
The velocity of Cooper’s free-kick appeared to increase with distance travelled defying the laws of physics Archetypal Durrant finish for the second goal. How often did we see that? It used to be good fun to make fun of Leighton but swop ‘keepers for the day and that game doesn’t go to extra time.

Durrant was my favourite player then. We could do with a smidgen of his guile just now.

I remember Gascoigne talking about when he played for England U21's against Scotland and he came up against this kid he hadnt heard of (obviously Durrant) and said that he couldnt get a kick all game - said Durrant was a far better player than himself at that age. Durrant was special. Still angers me that Aberdeen fans glorify the tackle that ruined a Scottish generational talent.
