Malangsob 1,264
Reserve the right to hold my opinion until it has been in use till at LEAST the WC break. However, the fact that SPL refs are in the review booth, does not instill confidence.
onevision 1,624
Everyone and their granny got to know that Steven McLean was the VAR ref who didn't award THEM a penality. Thought their identity was to remain hidden, no?
DMAA 3,741
I’m relieved we finally have it, long overdue and we have already seen why.
Frankie 8,856
Only issue is everything took too long. 3mins of injury time first half and another 7 at the end of the game which could easily have been 10mins.
Bluedell 5,956
Overall, it's favourable. It's not going to correct all mistakes, but it did seem to correct quite a few over the weekend, and that's got to be a bonus.
26th of foot 6,187
In VAR's first weekend in Scottish football, it has upset both Chris Sutton and John Hartson. What's not to like?
forlanssister 3,132
Tis only a Poundland version compared to the Harrods ones elsewhere. Better than nothing but should be better.
Sutton_blows_goats 5,987
I wonder how many instances of opposition at Ibrox having a card upgraded to a red we will see. I have often thought that the diddy teams get some kind of unconscious 'level it up' bias at Ibrox and the referees let them away with some rough house stuff they don't normally get away with. Interesting that the first weekend of VAR uncovered such an incident.
Blue Moon 1,556
As expected, it has not been difficult to show the refs up for how poor they really are. I expect to see more fairness in the game now. We moan about the favours Celtic get and all the other clubs talk about the bias in favour of us and them. Without VAR Celtic would have been 3 nil up at half time.
Scott7 6,525
That’s why hartson and sutton are whining now.
