Then recruit some that will generally be fit and able. Or start using the likes of McCann and McKinnon. If Jack were to prove fitness between now and I springtime, then maybe. I still felt that Souttar was brought in predominantly because the club thought Goldson wouldnt sign a new deal. We never learn when it comes to signing crocks. And I don’t think Souttar(if fit)would ever have been a suitable replacement for Goldson

He's back playing useful minutes and is clearly as good a midfielder as any at Ibrox, better when he's fully up to speed.
Blue Moon 1,208
We clearly can't get any more out of Jack than we currently do. We need someone more reliable. I really like the guy but he can't give us what we need. I have the fear if this is the way we are going to proceed into next season.

Had this conversation with you after he signed. I'm not the type to say I told you so, let's leave it there. Sure looks like it though. He has signed a 4 yr deal, after 3 months isnt the time to assess whether it was worth it or not, regardless of him presently being injured

Frankie 8,393
We all love a fit Ryan Jack but it's very unlikely that player exists any more. Unfortunately we need to move on.

Unfortunately we need to move on. What you're saying is our DoF and head coach are extending the contract of a player who they know won't be able to give his best? Despite all the perceived failing around the playing squad, that's a bold assumption and would amount to conscious and deliberate incompetence. For all that I'm dissatisfied with our output, I still find that hard to believe. Edited October 20, 2022 by Bill
