I think so, he has been getting a bit of grief on twitter and other social media but I cant understand why, he had a much better game than Goldson. He looks much better at centre back than he does in midfield.

Just saw his stats for the game. They are excellent.

I think possibly the only reason Sands doesn't get the credit he deserves is because he is a right footer playing on the left side and so sometimes looks like things break down as he needs that extra split second to put the ball on his right.. He reads the game well, is very composed in possession and gives us something that none of the other defenders can, an incisive pass through the middle of the pitch.. Yes Goldson can play sweeping cross field balls and Tav and Borna can cross but Sands can play that direct ball through the midfield into the number 9, or number 10s feet

James Sands for me, I thought he did very well and think he will be hard to shift from that position. I also thought Colak and Barisic did well.

David started well but lost or gave away possession far too often in the second half. I felt Lundstram and Tillman were well below their best and contributed to often being overrun in midfield in the second half. I'm afraid Kamara offered very little when he came on - we really need to find a way to get him back performing like he used to - Jack would have been a better choice of sub.
