The 3-4-3 does allow for more attacking options but ensuring we get the best out of the full backs and the wingers in minimal space is easier said than done. Plus having 3 centre backs against (usually) 1 striker seems overkill and leaves us outnumbered elsewhere.

I think the idea is that all three are capable of stepping into the midfield and/or having that three man platform allows the wing-backs to stay high up the pitch more often than not. I'm sure Rousseau, Patrick or DMAA could explain it better than me...

Just exactly how many times have you seen these three playing?.

Would prefer Lundstrum as one holding midfielder to sit in front of the CBs. As Henderson does for Liverpoool.

Would you go to a proctologist for a problem with your toe? Well, he is a doctor, he understand anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics so he could probably get you close...but would you trust his opinion over that of a pediatrist? No...you wouldn't We have positions in sport, and the commensurate specializations associated, for a reason. These things matter at Ranger's level...at CL, and EL levels...these things are highly important. Why? Because of competition...high level competitors can sniff out a team's weaknesses like a fart in a Fiat...that quick...it's your ass. Tuesday? Horses...for courses.

I'd also expect Lowry to feature more heavily as the season goes on. Rangers defend better when Helander plays and attack better when Hagi plays and are more likely to score when Roofe plays. No stats, just an impression. Getting Helander and Roofe onto the park is the problem. Will Hagi recover like Larsen or like Moles?
