Not all new players need time to settle in.

Not to mention being played out of position Bill. Souttar played on the right side for Hearts.

I think it has more to do with his inability to command his box and the blatant errors he made last season.

All new players do need time to settle in. Some need more than others. For some it might be a week, for others it could be months, some never settle.. The time to settle in is not necessarily related to the eventual contribution.
