RANGERS is pleased to confirm details of several new supporter focused initiatives that aim to put fans at the heart of the club.

Fan engagement is critical to Rangers’ success, and the Rangers board are committed to driving best-in-class fan engagement experience and ensuring supporters voices are heard at every level.

Rangers SLO Greg Marshall, who has recently returned from Frankfurt after attending the European Football Fans Congress, said: "Following our experiences in Europe and viewing what many other elite European sides have in place, we have plans to expand and grow our Fan Engagement Department and improve this crucial link we have with our fans.

"The increased emphasis and investment in fan engagement will include several exciting new roles solely dedicated to ensuring that supporters’ voices are heard, alongside new and renewed initiatives to quantify feedback to the inform the key decisions taken at the club. In recent years, the world has changed, but Rangers supporters have remained loyal, and we must evolve our processes so that the connection between club and our global support continues to thrive."

The key to strengthening engagement will be the introduction of regular structured dialogue between the support and the club. Rangers will hold these meetings at Ibrox and across the UK.

The notes and key outputs from these meetings will be shared with all supporters via the clubs official website.

Supporters can register their interest in attending any of the meetings HERE.

For those who cannot attend, Rangers will issue a supporter survey that we would encourage supporters to complete.

Furthermore, structured dialogue with Rangers Supporters Clubs will also take place to shape the future of a vital section of the Rangers community.

The content of all structured dialogue will be shared with the Rangers board to inform decision-making and help shape the future of Rangers FC.

The Fan Engagement Department will also host a drop-in session on Wednesday 10th August from 11am – 4pm in Copland House, where supporters are welcome to discuss any topics that they feel are important to them.

As further outreach, we are inviting supporters to submit questions to be answered via a new feature named 'Ask Rangers' which will seek to provide a new insight into the club . To submit a question, please email slo@rangers.co.uk with the subject line 'Fan Engagement Q&A'.

Other new initiatives include:

Introducing a brand new matchday team to liaise with supporters and provide feedback on key issues. These exciting new roles will be ideal for dedicated Rangers supporters and will be appointed from within the Rangers community

Increased engagement with the local community to improve the matchday experience for supporters and local residents. Continued expansion of our newly launched Customer Service department, which includes 6 full-time staff focused on answering supporter queries

Post match surveys to highlight and quantify match experience

Exploring cutting-edge technology to help gather and quantify supporter sentiment online

For any questions or feedback on any of the above, please reach out to slo@rangers.co.uk

Without substantial investment in staff, systems and processes they're just farting in the wind.

IIRC we'll be stuck with the same useless ticketing systems (it's not the staff that's the issue) for at least 2 more seasons.

Just a talking shop where individuals can plead but with no collective fans group it’s toothless.

It could be even worse than that.

The club might actually act on the advice received from the self selecting minority that engage.

You have to wonder why we aren't already.

I don't doubt the hard work done by Greg and his assistant over the last wee while but the customer aspect of many issues at the club remain poor and this just seems like another tick box exercise to me.

The SLO was over at some European SLO event at Frankfurt last week... seems he's come back full of new ideas and energy.  Which is good on one hand, but as others have said, the cynic in me wonders why its taken an event like that to put such mechanisms in place?
