Malmö had played 4 league matches (and European qualifiers).

A couple of seasons prior to that Midtjylland had played 4 league matches before we put 7 past them.

Malmo played us on the 3rd and 10th of August.

They started their league season on 10th April.

They had played 13 match days in the league, excluding European qualifiers.

Between the 24th May and 3rd July, Malmö didn't play a league game.

From the 3rd of July to the 1st leg against us, they played 4 league matches.

If we draw Malmo again, we will be in the same predicament as last season.

They will be well into their season and we will be one game in with (more than likely) key injuries.

Prefer to stay away from them.

Sturm Graz is my choice.

Austrian Bundesliga...I think we could take those guys.

I think Malmo were a better team than Midtjylland

Perhaps, but after an industrious first half hour at Ibrox where our intensity had us on top but without much precision,.....we more or less folded.

Sturm Graz all day long. Like us, they are still in pre-season, more or less, and the Austrian league ain`t that far away from our top to mid-table SPFL standard, Red Bull Salzburg apart.

Union SG have to be avoided, they ruled the roost in Belgium last season up until the last match day, until they lost the league play-off against Brugges after been promoted the year before.

It turned into a full scale retreat. I still don't understand where our heads were that day.

That's just their 'winter break'.

They've had their pre-season, started their league and played European qualifiers.

I still think we sh*t the bed, though. To lose with a man advantage for so long is inexplicable.

As strange as it sounds. I am glad we lost - without losing it is highly unlikely we end up in the Europa League final.  Wouldnt swap that experience for anything (except either winning said final or making a CL final :D ).
