Basically got to the last minutes, they didn't get the plethora of bids they were expecting, so came crawling to us tryig to wring every penny they could out the pooor lad. They've done well out of it anyway in the end. �£2m is more than fair. They may not have been professional but they weren't underhand - they were quite right to try to get as much as they possibly could out of Naismith but they did it the wrong way IMO. Another thing which would suggest that Killie don't do their business quite right - Jefferies said he had a player(s) in mind for a replacement but because the deal concluded so late he couldn't get them in - that would suggest bad management from Killie - they knew we wanted Naismith, they knew he wanted to come, so why not have their replacements lined up beforehand ? 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
buba3d 0 Posted September 2, 2007 Share Posted September 2, 2007 so who's telling the truth here? on the radio yesterday they interviewed JJ and he said he didn't know who instigated the move but did know it wasn't killie, however walter said they didn't instigate it. so if killie and rangers both deny who made the first move then why all of a sudden did killie chairman MJ say i spoke to JJ about the 2 million pounds and we discussed we can't use any of that but we can use his wages. to me that sounds like killie came crawling back because they need the money because of bank pressure.
