[FT] Rangers 2 (Tavernier 5' Pen; Morelos 57') - 0 Hibernian

Some of our players' first instinct seems to be to go backwards (Kamara and Barisic, in particular).

I understand it if there's nothing on ahead but you see them do it when there's an easy pass in front of them.  Very frustrating.

Kamara is much more willing to go forward in the last two games.

I always thought that he was being cautious due to instructions from the management.

We should have given them a sell on fee out of decency. though no more than 10%. Costs us nothing short term and gets you the player.

say it costs you 2 million that's a lot of money but you have just sold a player for over 20 million.

Say it costs you 100k then that's nothing and you have still turned a profit.

Hard to see how you lose out of it.

celtc were crowing about their 10 percent on VVD but all that really happened was they got 10 million for a hundred million quid player.

Scared Horror GIF

Nope.

Hearts should decline to ask for one out of decency.

Then we should have given it because getting the player would have helped us we might get away with not having him but we sure would be better with him.

We tried.

What they were asking for was clearly too much.

Truth be told, why trial a CM/DM in a more attacking role instead of playing another AM/striker. Lundstram and Jack cleared any danger vs Hearts, the former was well able to handle the Hibs threat yesterday. We can trial Kamara in such a role against Annan or the like, but could easily have used all 5 subs and give Diallo, Roofe, Sands or even Zukowski (spoken: tsu-kovski, not tsu-cowski as Tom Miller tried) some game time.

Balogun will be a miss, hopefully not too long. I wondered how he went into some tackles full steam from the off though. IMHO, if we play Goldson and Bassey, we should go to a back three with one DM cleaning up before them. Bassey is no full-blooded CH and playing a bit more to the left with some back-up in the middle might help.

Annan should be a good chance to play Sands, Simpson, Roofe and some others, preferrably not Ramsey, since their plastic turf and physical approach might lead to unwanted time on the sidelines.

Oh right, so you just disagree with our valuation of the player and it doesn't have anything to do with decency.

If so then fair enough.

The correctness of the decision, like not selling Goldson, will only be known when the league is decided.
