Opposition has to be taken into account of course but a few players did pretty well. I felt Lundstram was busy and tried his best to keep the tempo up, Sakala was a menace on the left wing, Bacuna looked bright for periods and obviously Alex Lowry had a fine debut.

All things considered, I think the young lad has to get my vote.

Has to be Lowry, lit up an otherwise typically dull cup-tie against a poor opponent.

Other than him, this game only served to prove that Bacuna and Barker are just taking up a slot and wages and are not at the level required to contribute.

Sakala had a good first half and Itten a good second. Lundstrum tidy.

MOTM for me was John Lundstram who was involved in everything and maintained tempo at least as well as those regulars he replaced.

He did very very well and if not for Lowry i would have given him MOTM as well.

Lundstrum has been MOTM or near it in every start he has had going back about 6 games at least now IIRC.

I think the idea he can't contribute to us in a positive sense and certainly some of the nonsense you see about him being shite is nonsense. I wish he had started V Aberdeen.
