Was it Wilson who brought Koeman to Southampton? Maybe one of the names on Wilson's list? ?

No.

I think Wilson arrived when Koeman was there, so he was responsible for Koeman's replacement?

I think at this point if we don't get Gio then Wilson better knock it out the park for someone really special. How often is there a free manager on the market that understands Rangers, is a CL, EPL and La Liga winner as a player and a successful manager from the Dutch league?

Gio just seems like such a good fit with where we are at the moment. Its almost like everything has aligned to bring us to this point where he's also available.

Given the Villa thing hasn't happened overnight, I'd be disappointed if we're not already in advanced talks with someone. Especially with the international break, the sooner the better.

Did I really see on Twitter last night that Keith Jackson was suggesting McInnes in some way??

This season has all the hallmarks of 1998 , a very decent squad playing below its level , managerial upheaval midway through the season , the inability to shake off a poor Celtic team .

This season is far far far too important to go down the project route , we need stability , a manager who plays or his football philosophy is the same as how we currently play , and a manager who would get the respect of the players .

Van Bronckhorst ticks all the boxes , plus , and this might cause a bit of discussion , I would argue he is a bigger name in European football than Gerrard , certainly more successful .Though that’s really neither here nor there .

Yes, he was championing his mate. Hopefully McInnes (who is turning into a decent pundit to be fair) is no where near Wilson's list.

What do you mean? How often is there a free manager on the market that understands Rangers, a multiple trophy winner as a player and a successful manager from the Scottish league?

Perfect fit.
