MediaWatch - is EVERYONE against us now?

Recommended Posts

Well, on a certain level, i do agree - i wish we could do something about some of the morons that follow us away from home

However, articles like this don't help matters!

i seem to recall a few years ago while using the tv guide (online application tv guide) the description of the rangers match had something along the lines of or might have been an old firm game where it said "all eyes and ears will be glued to this game" of course we won 2-0 goals from ricky and sebo look-a-like.

SPL back Celtic fans

By Jamie Murdoch

The Scottish Premier League insist there would be no justification for an investigation into the conduct of Celtic supporters at Aberdeen.

Scottish football fans' forum

It was reported that Celtic fans had been involved in sectarian chanting during Sunday's 3-1 win at Pittodrie and that the SPL were set to act. However, Celtic maintained that was not the case and the SPL have revealed that the match delegate's report praised the travelling fans.

One Hoops supporter was arrested after being picked out by a Celtic steward, but the Parkhead club stress it was an isolated incident of "unacceptable conduct".

A spokesperson for the SPL said: "The SPL have no plans whatsoever to investigate the behaviour of Celtic fans at Sunday's match and at no time have we suggested that we might do so.

"Indeed the delegate's report complimented the behaviour of the Celtic fans and Celtic security procedures."

Meanwhile, Rangers manager Walter Smith believes Thomas Buffel could make his comeback from injury in three weeks' time.

The Belgian midfielder, who was a £2.3million signing from Feyenoord in 2005, has been out with long-term knee problems for most of the year.

"With the right progression he will be playing within three weeks or so," said Smith.
