der Berliner 4,107
... and that many staff of the club are indeed double jabbed. Likewise, our able medical staff are all over this too. So let`s hope that those infected have no ill effects and a speedy recovery / return to the squad.

I must have missed something Expand When the story broke all sorts of lists were being posted and everyone was really anxious, that post stated none of them were correct and we would still have a strong squad regardless. I certainly slept a lot easier after reading it. If we didn't have such a strong squad we could have been fielding a B team tonight so they're definitely linked.
Popular Post Frankie 8,867
Folks, let's calm down a wee bit and avoid the handbags. As much as this is bad news (losing any player is never good), thankfully it's not quite as bad as it could have been and we should have more than enough to go through tonight and give Celtic a good game on Sunday. Fingers crossed one or two of those unavailable tonight are back for Sunday and, as much as this weakens us to a degree (especially with respect to the goalkeeping position*), this is not that much different from having players out injured which can happen at any time and be even worse. * I've contacted Andy Dibble and put him on call for the weekend...

CammyF 9,205
From The Daily Record - what an utter shit-show. Wonder who is responsible for this and have they been dealt with? Everton's hopes of landing Nathan Patterson from Rangers look dead in the water because of a Covid track and trace botch up. Record Sport understands the youngster has been ordered to self isolate retrospectively after being identified as a close contact from the Ibrox club’s trip to face Ross County two weekends ago. And he will now have to stay at home until after the transfer window shuts down at midnight on Tuesday - effectively killing off any chance the Goodison club had of tempting Steven Gerrard into sanctioning the sale of his highly rated 19-year-old. Patterson was stunned to be told he had to sit out Sunday’s OId Firm showdown despite being given the green light by health officials to travel to Armenia for last week’s Europa League play-off against Alashkert. It was only after the team returned to Glasgow that he was informed he should have been isolating along with a number of team mates, including keepers Allan McGregor and Jon McLaughlin as well as skipper James Tavernier. Patterson has since tested negative for the virus but will have to remain under lock and key until Wednesday before joining up with Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad later this week, after they return from a World Cup qualifier against Denmark.
