[FT] Rangers 2 (Davis 10; Kenny o.g. 34) - 0 Celtic

Recommended Posts

An excellent half in terms of the result but I do think 2-0 flatters us a wee bit as Celtic probably should have been level after we scored.

However, we tightened up after the second goal and some of our football at times has been top drawer with perhaps only the final pass maybe costing us a third goal.

A lot of hard work to do though in this tie.  We cannot afford to allow Celtic back into the tie but neither do I want us to sit too deep.  Our balance was good though in the last 10-15mins of the first half and we look dangerous on the counter.

If we can score one more, we're into the next round but I fancy it might not be as easy as that.

With the exception of 10mins after our 1st goal we have been better team and scored two great goals.

More of same required in 2nd half.

Rubbish!!, Separate Entity FC are the best team in Scotland and have the best players!!!, we are lucky to be 2-0 up

Patterson seems to be the real deal, some really incdredible runs and skillful passes. It's going to be pretty interesting to see how we get him involved more because it's clear he deserves some first team action.

That challenge on Kent in the build up to Davis goal was a booking 100%

I actually though he was booked up till now. Likewise Brown going full tilt into Aribo`s ankles later on. Someone should floor Madden like that to remember him what sort of heinous challenge it is, apart from being illegial outside Brownland.
