bmck 117
thank fuck for that, they where shit and we where shit, just lucky for us we scored and they didn't. do you really think so? we were the only team who had any chance of scoring - we completely dictated the play.

Had a job to do, it was obvious how they were playing and they done it well.
Whosthedado 1,709
Professional performance tonight. They never really threatened although they must have had about 5 half hearted penalty appears! Thomson I thought was probably our best player and weir and Cuellar never looked in danger. Tougher tests to come in the next round whoever it may be, but the most important thing is we're there. AND the fans behaved too:fish:
ascender 352
Good result and lets face it, that was the main thing. Still not sure about playing Hemdani, Fergie and Thomson in the same starting lineup though...

Yeah I'd agee Ascender they tend to all end up in the smae part of the pitch and the space gets restricted a little
Frankie 8,665
We controlled the game and although I felt we sat a bit deep at times, we were solid enough and always looked like we could go up a gear if required. Thought Thomson did very well - especially in the 2nd half - and Beasley took his goal superbly. A reasonable start to the season and if we can sign Stevie Naismith tomorrow the squad is coming together nicely.

AND the fans behaved too:fish: Agree with all of that. Professional if uninspiring performance. Did our job well containd them and defended our lead very well. Nicked one late to seal the tie. First half I was looking at Papac MoM, however I would give it to Thomson, although not a lot of competition for it tonight. Cuellar and Weir didn't have their usual flawless performance, but were still solid. So the rest: Mcgregor had one shocking error at a cross but got away with it, solid for what little else he had to do. Broadfoot was solid although is not a right back. Hemdani still struggling with early season form. Fergie was decent enough, worked hard. Beasley looked better on the left. Good finish, good movement from Thommo at the goal. McCulloch was solid again, got stuck. Harshly penalised at every header. Copes well with moving to various positions. Darcheville worked hard although our style of play meant little would be created for the loan man. Subs Novo worked hard when he came on. Adam had little time to impress.
