All the rumours of it having to wait til today due to Hibs tax year appear to have ben verified. The question therefore is, if we and the Hibs support have known for at least a fortnight that this was a nailed on signing for the Gers, why were the press still trying to suggest Blackburn and Middlesborough where in the hunt as late as yesterday? Which is very strange, so word obviously did get out somewhere, somehow.
