MATCH REPORT - RANGERS 3 MOTHERWELL 1

Recommended Posts

Just watched the goals again as I was picking upon ‘Well manager saying the goals came from individual errors from his defenders and I couldn’t really recall any clangers for any of the goals.

On further review I still don’t see any individual errors, perhaps at the third goal the defender could have hoofed it over his shoulder before Itten nipped in to flick it to Aribo but that would be really harsh to single that out as an individual error.

My only conclusion is that there was no individual errors, it was their filthy piece of scum manager trying to deflect away from his anti football tactics that got him zero points, and was quite happy to throw his players under the bus instead of owning his defeat, or even better, giving his opponent some praise for once, as unlikely as that is when his opponent is Rangers.

There are many managers having to do what they do to thwart our team, which is unattractive and boring  but there is only one filthy piece of scum manager IMO?.

I think the motherwell result is hugely important.  In past seasons, 1-0 down with 20 minutes to play heads would have gone down and we'd more have ended up conceding more goals more often than we'd come back and salvage a point.  This time obviously we took all 3.  Perhaps more importantly, we've shown that we're able to break down packed defences, again in past seasons a side facing us 5-5-0 would have been obvious to everyone what was going to happen, this time we faced it  broke it and scored 3.  A massive result and shows the credentials we need to drive the season forwards and hopefully wrap up 55.

It is, in that we need to keep winning League games but it only takes us to Base Camp, regarding an assault on the K2 of SPFL fixture runs....

23/12/20 PRE St. Johnstone 19 : 00 Rangers
26/12/20 PRE Rangers 13 : 30 Hibernian
30/12/20 PRE St. Mirren 16 : 00 Rangers
02/01/21 PRE Rangers 13 : 30 Celtic
10/01/21 PRE Aberdeen 16 : 00 Rangers
17/01/21 PRE Motherwell 13 : 00 Rangers
23/01/21 PRE Rangers 16 : 00 Ross County
27/01/21 PRE Hibernian 20 : 45 Rangers

Get it right and the post split run will likely be dead rubbers, but in a good way.

No need to say what things will look like if we get it wrong.
