der Berliner 3,747
Viewing this from afar ... who cares what "we" think? The point - much like us being the same club as before - is what the world makes of this. And to the outside world, who hardly know what befell us or how the league in Scotland is run, it reads: Scum FC has won 9 titles on the trott, Covid-19 or not. It doesn't matter that a 30m-pound squad went virtually unchallenged against teams that were challenging their own mediocrity, teams that where humbled out of Europe by also rans from Bulgaria, Moldova and Co. long before any group stage. Even with us in the equation, the outside world had and has a low view of the quality of the Scottish game and league, never mind the competitiveness of the league as such. So as much as we laugh off their 10iaR-claim or we laugh at them when they claim that we are a new club, to the outside world they go for 10iaR and we are one and the same club that was founded 1872. On a personal note, their tites during our absence carry the same relevance as if a full strength Bayern Munich side had won the Bundesliga 3 for 5-6 years on the trott. The gulf in finances and quality were beyond any sort of competitive edge, even though the Scum managed to throw away a few pieces of silverware. Even when we returned, the gulf was there, only that the CO as well as the refs managed to find new levels of depths that they have even up till now difficulty to climb up from. Right to the "vote" to end last season early. What beggars belief is that all the CO stuff, the refereeing madness and the "vote" went on in full view of the public with hardly any reaction from media, authorities and politicians alike. If someone in Hollywood would present a screenplay wlike that, he'd be adviced to find a job at Burger King. Not so in Scotland. You just hope that no madness will end this season by anyother means than it being played on the field of play and that we shatter their "illusive quest" for a 10th title in as many seasons. Fishing with Grenades? I do not advise it. The trick is creating as much compression as you can, that's what kills the fish and subsequently ensures they float to the surface. Grenades have a small explosive charge designed to detonate after four seconds and propel shrapnel at high velocity in confined spaces. I am the voice of experience here, got the t-shirt in Belize, Borneo, and Arnhemland. You need an old ammo' box, fill it with several heavy stones, place a small charge of PE(remember do not mix up the accompanying fuse cord and det' cord), ensuring 15-20 seconds on the charge. Now, this allows the box to settle and ensures maximum compression. Piranhas have a fearsome reputation but are remarkably good eating. Dozens float to the surface, quickly gut and fillet the white meat. Find another ammo' box, a soupcon of oil, lots of chopped garlic, chilli to taste, throw in an onion(shallots are better), add rice at the end and allow to simmer. Drain and serve a tasty, nutritious piranha and rice supper. Again, do not confuse det' and fuse cord, or you will have no hands to eat this wonderful meal.

Would this work with, say, Sturgeon?

However, apparently she is akin to a one eyed cat peepin' in a sea food store. In the Sturgeon household, compression is reserved for Salmond. Both Peter and Nicola enjoy an entree, 'Gravlax of Salmond'. Putrefaction brings us back to that seafood store. Well, at one time, the present First Minister was given the moniker "Jaws" as opposed to the previous incumbent's "Baws", both sobriquets, allegedly, relating to approaches to debate, the former to style, the latter to content. (I can, I think -from perhaps calumnious gossip from a NHS facility on the Southside of Glasgow- give the lie to one of these suggestions. It is alleged that a kent SNP figure, and squeeze of another, and aggressive, ambitious nationalist politician had been caught playing away from home, and after what he thought was a loving reconciliation, had to present, in the early hours, at A&E with his manifesto, if not quite in tatters, in need of medical care and attention.) "Who has the bigger one eye?" Surely I need not remind you that, "There's a little yellow idol, to the North of Knockando...."

CammyF 8,125
As once displayed on a banner, rather die with our history than live with theirs. Not much more to say, even if we never win another trophy, that sentiment still stands, and I don't know of any Rangers fan who would think differently.
