Does anyone know if there's been any progress? https://www.thestadiumbusiness.com/2020/04/14/rangers-offer-best-class-experience-ibrox-upgrades/ on 14th April 2020 Scottish Premiership football club Rangers has announced plans to upgrade hospitality lounges at Ibrox ahead of its 150th anniversary season in 2021-22. The renovations had initially been scheduled for this summer but will now take place in 2021 amid restrictions caused by COVID-19. The upgrades will form part of the wider Project 2022 renovations, more details of which will be revealed throughout the year. Rangers hopes the renovation of Ibrox’s Blue Sky Lounge will set a “new standard for sports hospitality in Scotland”. The space will offer panoramic views of the pitch and feature additional premium seats as well as theatre-style live cooking. Bar 72 will become Club 72, while retaining its celebratory theme from Rangers’ 1972 European Cup Winners Cup victory. The lounge will provide a modern sports bar feel and offer a “contemporary casual dining experience” and state-of-the-art screens. James Bisgrove, director of commercial and marketing at Rangers, said: “In anticipation of our 150th anniversary, investment in our premium offering is core to our strategy in providing a truly world class hospitality experience at Ibrox. As the world’s most successful football club, we firmly believe in setting the standard within Scottish sport, both on and off the field. “A best-in-class guest experience will be at the centre of both Club 72 and the Blue Sky Lounge. We are proud that these significant upgrades will represent the pinnacle of sports hospitality experiences in Scotland.” The new lounges will be initially made available to existing corporate clients of Argyle House Suite and the Bar 72 season ticket holders.
