compo 7,051
The crossing of the ball by the present players is deplorable even the taking of free kicks leave much to be desired as well

He's rank rotten most of the time. I really don't know what's happened to Tav. Maybe the job's too big for his shoulders, he wouldn't be the first to suffer from that.
Franc Ergs 1,655
Tav was a better, and more confident player ,when Candeias was on the scene. It's been a bit like his mojo's gone since .
Gribz 850
Mark Walters and Neil McCann were both top quality crossers of the ball.
barca72 440
What about wee Bud - Willie Johnston. That guy could hang a ball in the air forever and hence fooled a lot of defences.
compo 7,051
Take Alex Scott and Davie Wilson as well as good crossers of the ball they scored between them a total of 274 goals a very good return

For example, take a truly wonderful player like Ralph Brand, has there been a better inside forward since?

I’ve been thinking about this and you’re right. In the role of assistant striker he was so good he was the chief striker. He didn’t have to do a lot of the fetch and carry stuff because of the long range passing ability of McMillan and Baxter and the fact that so many attacks were launched from the wings. I wonder how many he scored from Jimmy Millar nod-downs.
