Jackson, the poor man's Speirs.

Jackson will do pretty much the bidding of anyone, if you can be his friend.

Paul Murray gave him material, Jackson went in to bat on his behalf  (2012-2015)

Kenny Miler gave him material, Jackson went in to bat on his behalf (noticeably at contract renewal time/ arrival Pedro)

Scott Brown gave him material, Jackson went in to bat on his behalf. (various)

SPFL have given him material &/or promises, Jackson went in to bat on his behalf. (currently)

Jackson/DR reach more people than Spiers and hence becomes valuable, above his actual worth.

It´s not about parking big tanks without ammo

This is like complaining about leopards having spots. We've known for a long time exactly what the SPFL is like? We know what the media is like and how they line up against Rangers. We know how organised those forces are and how motivated by bigotry they are. We've also seen for a long time how little we can do about it.

Now that doesn't mean we shouldn't do what we reasonably can to fight our corner. But it does mean that howling at the moon won't change anything. The only place we can win this fight is on the field of play. No matter what referees do to put obstacles in our way, when we play football as we can and should play it, we win. Up until New Year we did that and we put ourselves in pole position. If we'd kept that up we would now be getting ready to welcome the league trophy back to Ibrox. But we didn't and that's the really important thing here. Not incessantly describing the leopard's spots.

I honestly believe if we had been in pole position at this juncture the league would have been voided.

You might be right, in which case our boot would have been on the other foot entirely. Nevertheless, my point still stands, there is only one place we will ever win this battle and it isn't in courts or committee rooms.

@Bill, so we should just shrug and get on with it?

It really doesn't matter a whole lot. At least beyond letting off steam, which is probably quite important in its own way. Whether we shrug or howl, the outcome will be the same in my opinion. So unless shrugging or howling is seen as the measure of success or failure, I wouldn't worry too much which one is chosen.

If you keep doing more or less the same thing.....you´ll get similar results.

Change the way you operate

Make the right changes

Do things better

Pick battles you can win and don´t just howl at the moon to appease the support with little thought to eventual outcome.
