A man has been charged after a glass bottle was thrown at grounded Rangers defender Borna Barisic during a clash with Hibernian at Easter Road. As the Croat lay on the pitch after a red-card challenge from Ryan Porteous during Rangers’ 3-0 Scottish Premiership win on Friday, December 20, a series of objects were hurled at Barisic from the stands. On Saturday, Police Scotland confirmed a 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the culpable and reckless conduct. Inspector Colin Fordyce, of Leith Community Policing, said: “Thankfully no one was injured as a result of this incident.
