Is he just banned from the game itself? Or is he banned from working with the club during the week too?

I have nothing but admiration for the way Brian Rice has handled this. Poor bugger, I wish him well. I also wish Rangers didn't advertise gambling on our shirts.

Lots of clubs would sorely miss the money the bookmaking companies invest in the game our own included my sisters husbands a bookmaker and one day he told me that gamblers get as much satisfaction out of losing as they do wining  he might be right I've seen people at the big meetings dropping a couple of thousand per race and still have a laugh in the beer tents

I’m sure clubs would make a lot of money selling heroin too but we don’t allow that because of the harm it does, even if all fans don’t use it. No one is suggesting banning gambling or smoking tobacco or drinking alcohol ... but to promote something we know directly causes harm and social suffering is surely not a great idea. I would like to see Rangers raise it’s standards and stop hiding behind the easiest money.
