A good side under Eddie Turnball as well .
JFK-1 1,693
He's going to find it a difficult task because the fans of both Edinburgh sides have unrealistic expectations. They expect they should be competing with the OF and that's unrealistic at a time when the rest of the league are probably as far behind as they have ever been. They're operating in a freebie transfer market typically landing league 1 or even 2 freebies at best. They're not going to be competing with Rangers on any real level with that standard of squad. Huge numbers of their fans and probably the majority have a frankly simple minded view of the game. For example when Hearts were pinned back by us at Hampden that means to the fans they're not 'having a go' and all they have to do to have a chance is 'have a go' This 'have a go' mantra is truly stupid at such a high level of the game. What's it even supposed to mean? Go at it which means opening up against far superior quality who can rip you to shreds with ease? Then what will they say if they take a humiliating thrashing? An educated guess would be Ross out is what they will say then simply continue sacking managers likely as good as they can get perpetually? Being pinned back against superior opposition doesn't mean they're not 'having a go' it simply means they just can't work a way out of there against such class without being quickly carved open and taking a hiding. The sheep fans are equally as unrealistic. Edited November 15, 2019 by JFK-1

They do, however, expect their teams to be in the top half, with some justification, given their relative size(s). Wanting your team to have a go during a cup semi-final (you're losing) is what any football fan would do.
Whosthedado 1,702
In massive danger of repeating myself, but fingers crossed he takes them down and their Edinburgh rivals join them

Best Scottish team apart from Rangers I ever saw came from Dundee and they didn’t play at Tannadice.
