There's only one song for today and sadly it's now banned

Nope .. today we play under SFA / SPFL rules and there is no official ban of any song ... but singing it will play into the hands of those pushing the Strict Liability agenda and all the other hangers on who can see no anti-Loyalism, anti-Royalism, anti-Britishness and downright pro-terrorist behaviour. For some reason, only "minorities" are worth being protected by obscure and shadowy rulings.

But apart from having a good game and/or Kumba-ya every now and then, one might antagonize them with a Rangers-themed song of old ...

The Boys of the Ibrox Brigade (Tune: Boys of the Old Brigade)

Once I dreamt of Glasgow Rangers,
Oh I met my favourite team,
I stood alone, all on my own,
In Rangers' trophy room.

Silver cups and silver badges,
Tales of glory all around,
I walked the marble staircase then,
To view the famous ground.

Where Waddle, Gillick, Thornton shone,
With mighty Woodburn's aid.
Where Dawson, Greig and Young and Shaw,
Were the boys of the Ibrox brigade.

Where are they now, where are they now?
Oh for the Gers they played.
I hope like me, they always be,
The boys of the Ibrox brigade.

Where Millar, Brand and Wilson reigned,
When history was made.
Where Ritchie, Niven, Caldow were
The boys of the Ibrox brigade.

Where are they now, where are they now?
Oh for the Gers they played.
I hope like me, they always be,
The boys of the Ibrox brigade.
