JFK-1 1,693
I get the feeling he wouldn't leave Britain at this stage in his career and might have an eye on coaching in a couple of years or so. Better to stay at home if that's the case and where better to round off his playing career than with a team who will win most of the time and have the chance of honours instead of the drudgery of playing with relegation battlers..
Gribz 919
Defoe will be an important player this season, I think he will get 15-20 goals. Even at his age he has kept himself in great shape and should breeze this league.
Popular Post Crimson Dynamo 128
I love this video of Defoe from his time in MLS. He clearly wanted to take the free kick and was pissed off he didn't get to take it. Gilberto then fires it in and Defoe's reaction is priceless.
Tannochsidebear 2,429
A lot of players would still be sulking for not getting to hit the free kick and not bother celebrating or admitting that the other guy was right. Defoe's reaction is exactly what you want to see in a professional, and a team player first and foremost. I hadnt seen that before, but it sums him up quite well.
