Read the newspaper you mentioned in your post.

I don't read shite but it's in their favour that you think what the Sun writes is what people actually say. I'll check the Corporation Times and see what it says about this.

Both articles carry quotes from the players and journalists don't tend to make those up unless it's Boris Johnson and he was sacked for it, by The Times IIRC.

Wallace spent eight years in Govan, sticking with the club through their spell in the lower leagues.

But, speaking on talkSPORT, he says he was snubbed by Ibrox chiefs after his exit.

Asked if he had been wished well by any of the top brass at Rangers, he said: "In top brass you mean the hierarchy at the club?

"No that wasn't the case and I'm not too disappointed in that, it was to be expected.

"But there are certain parts of the club that are what they are and that's a small fraction.

"Everything else was incredible for me. Even last season although I never really played under Steven Gerrard he was fantastic and what a learning experience for me.

"Michael Beale was incredible - he was fantastic for me.

"Steven Gerrard has made a big impression on me being an aspiring coach and the level of detail I could take from the guy was incredible.

"I trained and was given a fair crack at it and I'm thankful."

So the headline bears little resemblance to the tone or full version of the interview, no change there then from our gutter press.

I dont know that Directors/Shareholders would be very involved with players at all at any club, to the extent that they would be in contact with outgoing players.

Correct, are we supposed to believe that directors routinely gather to wish outbound players the best or hand out the binbags. Classic Sun/Daily record bullshit. But so long as there are people around willing to lend them credibility ....
