Gribz 850
I've lost track of how many promising young players we sign who never go on to make a first team appearance. Its not just WS either, we signed enough of them during Eck's time here too. Yeah! Expect to never hear the boys name again!! Wenger is amazing with youngsters so if he is releasing him for a sale he cant be great but he had to have talent to make Arsenal in the first place.
calscot 0
I was recently sorry to see us get rid of Ashikodi, Carcary and N'Guessan. All looked promising. Ponroy and Stanger also never made it. I'm still wondering what happened to Chris Vinecombe - "the future England captain" !!! One of our own, Stevie MacLean is doing really well.
calscot 0
PS Makes you wonder when we're impressed with Arsenal's cast offs... We used to be a much, much bigger club than them.
Laudbertz 0
I didnt realise Carcary had gone, he was being tipped for big things, they obviously meant not with Rangers.
Jon 0
Arsenal chief: Efrem will be Rangers success Arsenal academy chief Liam Brady has backed Cypriot youngster Giorgos Efrem to be a big hit for Rangers. The teenager has penned a two-year deal with the Scottish giants and Brady said: "George is absolutely someone who could go on and have success with Rangers. "He's a busy and technical player and it was a tough decision whether or not to let him go. "We always hope our lads are given a foundation that enables them to come good. Patrick Cregg has done very well for Falkirk and there have been a good number who have done the same in England after leaving Arsenal. "Just look at Steve Sidwell. He was loaned out a couple of times as a kid, then went to Reading when they were in the Championship. Now he's joined up with Chelsea. "Rangers asked permission to let George train with them a couple of times and he has impressed enough to get signed up. He's not going to be someone tackling back all game, but he has flair and imagination and we wish him well. "George is maybe a little on the small side but then he's not 18 yet. I've spoken to the people at Rangers and he's not going straight into their first-team squad by any means. But if he can get himself stronger and get used to Scottish football, then he could certainly make an impression."

Surely someone with so much promise should be. But maybe its a good selling way from Brady.
