Amidst the transfer rumours it is nice to note that Ryan Jack has extended his contract till 2023:rfcbouncy:

For around 20K a week while the sheep paid him around 4K a week. This contract alone can set him up for life while the sheep animals despise him for doing something every last one of them would do in a heartbeat. It's like us hating Alfie for wanting to go to the EPL to earn 100K a week to take care of his family.

They really are the vilest form of life in Scottish football. The only cretins who expressed glee at the condition of Fernando Ricksen and his ultimate death in a most horrible fashion. Even the yahoos and hubz expressed absolutely nothing but empathy.

Personally I think 100k a week is a crazy for any player in the world, but that is the crazy world of football..

Why? Surely the salary that someone is willing to pay is the correct salary for anyone. I keep seeing condemnation of immoral earnings but I never see any logical justification ... other than envy. Honestly, I wonder how many of those who criticise high earnings would turn it down themselves.

While I agree 100K a week is obscene for doing something all of us would do for free given the chance I feel with the amount of money swilling around in the likes of the EPL I would rather the players got it than anyone else. Such as club owners who are typically wealthy to begin with and don't need it.

I am probably more socialist than you, I would prefer everyone to have a living wage than some earning money they will never need in their natural life. it was on Dutch tv this morning that job agency workers couldn't live on their weekly wage. Just the way we think I suppose. Yes I would be happy with a higher wage but I would be happy if I could just live comfortably, nice house good car and never need to worry about any bills.

On a superficial level that all seems so admirable but I thinks it’s based on a fundamental misconception ... that believing people should be free to accumulate wealth means also accepting that poverty is acceptable, or even that one causes the other. I think the poverty that Holyrood presided over in Scotland is as unnecessary as it is shameful. The idea that limiting the wealth of a few will somehow lift large numbers out of grinding futility is a convenient lie and the purpose of that lie is purely to justify socialism. And to provide fodder for the grievance-mongers. You have to wonder how socialism could possibly survive if it didn’t ensure a suitable supply of disadvantaged people.

Listening to socialists you’d think the very rich horde their money in sacks under the bed. In reality their wealth is continually invested, for their own benefit of course but also generating tax revenues, pensions, jobs, etc. It is not the role of wealthy people to make up for the stupidity of venal politicians.

Most of the multi-million businesses don't pay tax or at least very little. i don't mind people making money as long as they are rewarding the people working under them with a good liveable wage but when you get people like Asheley paying workers buttons while making millions off their backs that is where I disagree.

Why bring Aberdeen into it... AGAIN.... and yet you say you aren't obsessed by them.  You are showing classic obsessive traits.  He's been our player for a couple of years - what Aberdeen fans say and do is irrelevant.  Why, just why ?
