BEARGER 1,830
12 mins ago Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack undergoes hospital check on foot injury Exclusive by Christopher Jack @Chris_Jack89Group Senior Sports Writer EXCLUSIVE Ryan Jack RANGERS face an anxious wait to discover the extent of an injury sustained by Ryan Jack after the midfielder underwent a check-up on Monday. SportTimes can reveal the 27-year-old has been given a protective boot to wear following a hospital visit for assessment on a foot injury. But it is not yet clear how severe the problem is or how long the Scotland international will be out of action for as Rangers continue to monitor one of their most important and consistent performers. Jack played the full 90 minutes of the Light Blues’ Scottish Cup draw with Aberdeen on Sunday as Steven Gerrard’s side came from behind to secure a quarter-final replay against the Dons. The former Pittodrie captain has been an integral part of Gerrard’s plans this season and was rewarded with a new contract in December that will keep him at Ibrox until 2021. The loss of Jack would be a huge blow to Rangers as they attempt to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Premiership and reduce their eight-point deficit in the title race. Gerrard has also set his sights on Scottish Cup success this season as he looks to end his first campaign in the Ibrox dugout with a winner’s medal and the Gers will face Derek McInnes' side in their last eight replay next Tuesday. Rangers return to league action on Friday night when they make the trip to Easter Road to face sixth-placed Hibernian

Tannochsidebear 2,413
That perhaps explains his woeful performance on Sunday. I actually thought he looked injured. Either that or he totally bottled the game, and I was content to give him the benefit of the doubt given he has played really well the last few weeks.

He did get hammered from the back in a tackle from either McLennon or Lowe which is probably the cause of this injury.. der Berliner 3,745
Get him rested if need be, McCrorie is ready to step in there, even Halliday. Kamara is the big calming factor in midfield these days.

Would be interesting to gather up the historic quotes from the Sportsound cast about Shinnie and his combative style then contrast them with next season.
