The kid was torched for refusing to give Celtic the ball after they’d put it out of play to allow Ryan Christie treatment. But the only person who should be stopping the game is the referee. Graeme Souness brought back this ritual of faux sportsmanship from Italy but it’s been abused by desperate players ever since.
