With Wallace and Coulibaly on their way out (as well as several more), it makes sense to sign experienced cover and Shinnie isn't a bad player. Agreed. We'd be getting a current Scottish Internationalist on the right side of 30 years of age for NO fee and weakening one of our rivals in the process. #No-Brainer Edited March 5, 2019 by buster.

To be fair to Shinnie, I'd rate him above Coulibaly, who has never impressed me that much and whose passing has always been suspect.
Bill 13,717
He lives across the road from me - should I just ask him? ? Edit - I'd have Shinnie over Coulibaly any day. Edited March 5, 2019 by Bill

Agreed, Coulibaly was a kind of emergency squad recruitment player though, I had hoped we would be targeting better than him & Shinnie for next season!.
stewarty 2,025
in the performances vs us this season I thought he's been impressive at setting the tempo of their midfield and getting in our faces. The question for me is around his quality on the ball and whether he could adapt to playing in a more offensive team. Its taken Jack a couple of years and the right manager to get him to develop this season

RANGERRAB 3,677
As I said earlier,I think Shinnie would play LB. Don’t think SG convinced about Barasic
der Berliner 3,745
A few more reliable posters on FF have since said that this seems to be very much a goer. We shall see.
Bill 13,717
If he does sign for Rangers, whatever role he's given, big or small, I don't think we'll need to worry about commitment. Like it or not, you need people like Shinnie in this league of hammer throwers. Edited March 6, 2019 by Bill
