As you say, Defoe doesn't even claim for it, he gets back up to try to win the ball and only stops when the ref has blown his whistle for a penalty.  And what player in the world will say "don't give it ref, there was no contact" ???

Robbie Fowler, perhaps.

Clearly before my time.  And certainly not in the modern era when winning can mean thousands in win bonuses.... :ninja:

I often find it hard believe when I see players from previous eras being asked if they ever wished they could have delayed their careers till the single contract making you a multi millionaire set for life era claiming that no they wouldn't swap their time for that.

Clarke's talking about refs and Rangers because that means he doesn't need to explain how his side lost to Hearts on Friday.

Also don't forget we battered St Pats and all we heard was how Morelos wasn't sent off, 3 times, and we are still hearing it now, doesn't matter how we win it will all be washed away in the sea of cheating and conspiracy.

Fuck them all, just keep winning and their pain increases, delicious

The list grows on and on ...

Michael Stewart has just said that Dermot Gallagher has no clue when commenting on Andrew Dallas' decisions.

John Hartson tells us that Celtic doesn't get as many BIG DECISIONS as Rangers do.

Steve Conroy, after his initial slaughter of Dallas, says that more refs support Rangers than Celtic.

Tom Boyd appears to say that refs are anti-Celtic

... and remember the slaughter of Beaton after his game against us. Seemingly, none of those people ever care when decisions go against us ... nor do they slaughter any refs. It is the sad state of affairs in Scotland that the football media world, small as it is, is infested by biased people essentially telling aspects of the truth, half-truths and downright lies. With no-one challenging.

They are only preaching to their core audience.
Who,
(a) listens to them outwith their core audience,
(b) cares outwith their core audience?
Win 55 and they become completely irrelevant.

Why do our players/manager/coaches give interviews with the Sun & Record? I wish they would stop!

Over on FF they have a daily thread with newspaper snapshots. Today's is mainly filled with pages upon pages that St. Johnstone's Clarke attacking Defoe and the SFA to hand a ban to Jermaine for diving, citing Jones' ban as a reason.

Much of it is probably just mhedia trying to push the paranoid into a frenzy - though I haven't read Clarke's comments or saw Jones' "dive". He probably just wants a level-approach on things rather than having Defoe banned.

The media-murder of Dallas was to be expected and one wonders how the SFA will react to this wave after wave of attack.
