The match, which will kick-off at noon, was agreed upon the transfer of Alfredo Morelos from HJK to Gers last summer, and the timing will provide a good warm-up for Steven Gerrard’s side ahead of their return to league action at Kilmarnock three days later. Helsinki will use the game as part of a short training camp as they prepare for the 2019 Veikkausliga, with the Finnish top flight running as a summer season. They ended last season with a record 29th title win and are the only Finnish club to have competed in the Champions League group stages and Europa League group stages, their last qualification for the latter being in 2014.
