Baffles me how he is bleating about Man Ure's selection??

Yeah I know, they fielded a strong team and finished with all there big players. Only Rio Ferdinand was rested altogether.

Plus they have a FA cup final to think about which is more important

The game is indeed played on the pitch. However, when the players on the pitch aren't actually supposed to be there that is when the courts get involved. West Ham stayed up cos they cheated. a £5.5 millon fine is a drop compared to what they will make from staying in the Premiership. And they say cheats never prosper!!!

Funny, I was about to say the exact same thing.

Not disappointed that the Hammers stayed up - but to suggest that they did nothing wrong is.... wrong.

West Ham didnt cheat on the pitch. The fine was the Premierships appropriate punishment and not points deduction. Im not 100% sure of the in's and out's but I dont think he ever played while illegal so therefore cant be deducted points.

Im confused over Mascherano aswell since he signed for Liverpool. Who did they buy him off etc...

How can you say that they never cheated on the pitch ? When they utilised a player illegally it is cheating on the pitch - Tevez shouldn't have been playing according to EPL rules.

Maybe Sheff Utd could have got Ronaldhino to play for them yesterday - he would have been as elligible as Tevez was earlier this season.

I am not sure of all the ins and outs either to be fair Gribz.

I am still happy that the Hammers stayed up - but

Yeah but did they actually play while illegal as they didnt feature early in the season?

Confusing one and the in's and out's havent really been made clear. The Mascherano one is double confusing coz he moved to Liverpool - who did they pay for him? Who owns him?

But as far as West Ham are concerned they did things what they thought were legal. Plus Magnasson and Curbishley inherited this so its unlucky that the chairman has to cough up the money.

Ironic that an ex player (Unsworth) sends Sheff Utd down with a penalty. Earlier in the season he missed a penalty for Sheff Utd against Blackburn. If he had scored the penalty, Sheff Utd would still be in the EPL.
