He’s 26, at that age we should be looking at someone who has played at a decent level. We won’t win 55 if this is the calibre we’re looking at.
les186 271
Did we not learn our lesson with Joe Garner?
Franc Ergs 1,459
Eaves could be a decent signing,..as long as his fee doesn't go through the roof...i'm here all week btw.

The lesson should be that we don't chop and change as much (the financial situation can't support that anyway). That we don't throw playerrs under a bus after two bad games or a loss of confidence. We got quantity in the summer (it was required), we now need to allocate funds towards quality. Short-termism is our biggest enemy.

The board need to stay strong and four square behind the SG project. SG&Co also need to learn quickly and adapt where necessary.

buster. 4,937
A 6 month loan is as far as we should go for Davis. Let him prove his fitness and earn any further deal.
les186 271
What I meant with regards to Joe Garner was that he was a player who had been at a multitude of lower league clubs without ever being a success at any of them. Eaves has a similar record but at a lower level.
